Description: A steel beam from the World Trade Center and an accompanying plaque honor the victims of 9/11 and the Appleton residents who hosted stranded passengers after flights were cancelled on account of the terrorist attacks. Located in the Appleton Riverfront Peace Park, which was created with an initial $5,000 donation from the stranded passengers.
